NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by the Shell Rock River Watershed District at the Shell Rock River Watershed District located at 217 West Main Street, Albert Lea, MN 56007 until 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 6, 2019, and will be publicly opened and read at said time and place by representatives the Shell Rock River Watershed District. The Work is generally described as follows:
Installation of fish barrier and steel catwalk structure at the outlet of Lower Twin Lake.
The provisions of Minn. Stat. 16C.285 Responsible Contractor are imposed as a requirement of this contract. All bidders and persons or companies providing a response/submission to the Advertisement for Bids shall comply with the provisions of the Statute.
The bids must be submitted on the Proposal Forms provided in accordance with the Contract Documents, Plans, and Specifications as prepared by WSB, 3701 40th Avenue NW, Suite 100, Rochester, MN 55901, which are on file with the Shell Rock River Watershed District and may be seen at the office of the Shell Rock River Watershed District or at the office of the City Engineer, 221 East Clark Street, Albert Lea, MN 56007. An optional paper set of Proposal Forms, Plans, and Specifications may be obtained from the Consulting Engineer, WSB, 3701 40th Avenue NW, Suite 100, Rochester, MN 55901, for a nonrefundable fee of $100.00 per set, check payable to WSB.
Bids will only be accepted from Contractors who purchase digital or paper Bidding Documents as specified above.
No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Shell Rock River Watershed District and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier’s check, or certified check, or bid bond made payable to the Shell Rock River Watershed District for five percent (5%) of the amount bid, to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder fails to enter promptly into a written contract and furnish the required bond.
The Shell Rock River Watershed District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to accept any bid deemed to be more favorable to the interests of the Shell Rock River Watershed District.
