Curly-Leaf Pondweed Treatment

NOTICE PROPERTY OWNERS

The Shell Rock River Watershed District has contracted with SOLitude Lake Management to treat 28 acres within 150 feet of the shoreline areas in Fountain Lake during the month of May (appx. May 5-23, 2026) for the invasive aquatic weed, curly-leaf pondweed. An approved liquid aquatic herbicide will be applied to the permitted shoreline areas from a specialized boat.  Landowners on the lake may request that control not occur along their property by contacting the Shell Rock River Watershed District at 507-377-5785.
