Traveling film festival comes to Albert Lea, celebrates waterways
For the first time ever, the Paddling Film Festival is coming to Albert Lea.
The festival is an international adventure film tour presenting the world’s best paddling films of the year — films encompassing whitewater rafting, sea kayaking, canoeing, standup paddleboarding, action and lifestyle — in more than 120 cities across Canada, United States and around the world. Audiences will see hairy whitewater action, sea kayakers exploring remote coastlines, northern river canoe expeditions, international river travel films and motivating environmental documentaries, according to Chris Chalmers, executive director of Albert Lea Community Education and a Paddling Film Festival organizer for Albert Lea.
