City Beach Project 2007

The District partnered with Freeborn County and the City of Albert Lea to demonstrate erosion and stream bank practices at the Albert Lea City Beach. The project showed residents how many different ways there are to protect shoreland and prevent erosion. The City Beach Project also demonstrated how planting native species helps to filter out pollutants. The project will help keep Fountain Lakes shoreline from eroding and filling in the lake.
