Curly-Leaf Pondweed Treatment

NOTICE PROPERTY OWNERS

The Shell Rock River Watershed District has contracted with SOLitude Lake Management to treat approximately 65-acres of shoreline areas in Fountain Lake during the month of May (appx. May 5-23, 2025) for the invasive aquatic weed, curly-leaf pondweed. An approved liquid aquatic herbicide will be applied to the permitted shoreline areas from a specialized boat.  Landowners on the lake may request that control not occur along their property by contacting the Shell Rock River Watershed District at 507-377-5785. 

UPDATE: SOLitude Lake Management will be applying an aquatic herbicide on May 7-8 in Fountain Lake - East Bay and West Bay - to suppress aquatic invasive weeds.  Please stay out of the water for 24 hours.
