Healthy Lakes Video 2006

In 2006, the SRRWD, along with Albert Lea Medical Center, Alliant Energy Foundation, and the Lakes Restoration Committee created a two part video titled “Healthy Lakes Makes A Healthy Community.” Part one of this video is titled ‘It Starts with a Raindrop’ and describes how water can collect pollutants from a variety of sources and carry them to waterways via storm sewer and runoff. Part 2 of this video is titled ‘From Raindrop to Watershed’ and describes what a watershed is, what the state and federal standards are, how are area lakes stand up, and how the District has been working towards achieving those standards. This video was dispersed around the community and is available in our office.
