Pickerel Lake Reclamation 2009

In 2009, the MnDNR conducted a fish kill on both Pickerel and Mud lakes using a Rotenone treatment to control the population of rough fish. This was done in conjunction with the Mud Lake Fish Barrier from 2008 to prevent the reentry of carp into the lake. The MnDNR restocked Pickerel Lake with Northern Pike, Bluegills and Perch the following spring.
